Affirm the Greatness of God

God is amazing, isn’t he? I’m sure you would agree. I don’t know about you, but the problem for me, especially in the past, is that I took the power and greatness of God for granted. And I didn’t consistently utilize the great power that is readily available for me.

I can tell you first hand how life changes when you are fully aware of God’s power and when you consistently use it to empower yourself and those around you. Remember, God’s power is readily available to you, and He wants you to use it. Why would you not? With God all things are possible!!

In this post I share what I think is the easiest way to make yourself aware of God’s power in your life. That is, using positive affirmations. In his book, The Power of Positive Thinking, Norman Vincent Peale suggests finding Bible verses about faith, the power of God, or whatever else empowers you. Then you take times during the day to repeat them to yourself. You can do this silently or out loud. For example, you can repeat several times (Peale suggests 10 per day) “with God all things are possible”. Or, “if God is for me, no one can prosper against me”. Or, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”.

You can repeat these or whatever verses work for you. Repeat them throughout the day. The more you repeat the affirmations and reflect on them, the more they sink into your subconscious mind. When they become entrenched in the subconscious, they become consistent, empowering beliefs. When the beliefs are strong enough, you take positive, confident, and inspired action knowing that God’s power is with you all the way through. Because your actions are completely faith based, they create success in all endeavors, helping you live a more positive and fulfilled life.

This may seem overly simple, but I strongly recommend you use these affirmations. They only take a minute or two at a time, but they can be life-changing if used consistently. Affirm God’s greatness. Then you will see it play out in your life. Enjoy the blessings 🙂
